How to remove ads on blackberry and block internet access to apps

Published on March 31, 2013

If we install certain free apps on our blackberry, they keep pushing ads into the phone.

This is totally acceptable because the developers need to earn money for their effort.

But sometimes this is not the case. Rogue apps can use the internet and upload  the user information

(like contacts, mails, pictures) to their servers.

In order to maintain the safety of our data and device, we can block the internet access to certain apps.

Procedure:

  1. Go to options> advanced options > application management.
  2. Now search for the application that you need to block the internet access and stop the ads.
  3. Click on the app and choose edit permissions.
  4. Expand the connections permissions.
  5. Now select Internet and edit the permission to deny.

**Voila! DOne! **
